It's been in development for a while, and was originally slated as a mod for HalfLife.

Then Sierra and Valve got involved, and its coming out as a standalone game.

It looks quite smart, but I'm not sure how easy it is to use all the weapons. They're all configurable to some degree.

Hopefully there'll be a demo out soon.

Not to be offensive or anything, tried it, uninstalled it...what else can I say? it's just a new game in an old engine...I must say the graphics are still pretty impressive, those dinosaurs (screenshots) are pretty good. But overall gameplay, storyline is just not worth it. Hope this helps

I'm a sucker for this type of game with a pocket full of money, but I looked it over at the store and it didn't look interesting to me at all. I thought maybe I was missing something, but from Sanjuro's comments, apparently not.

It's quite fun to play and the weapons are interesting. But man , is it ever butt(*)ugly.
One thing i like very much is that a new game comes out on a proven engine, without my video having to struggle so much

And what's with the cowboy-frontier-mining styled characters ? Reminds me of the village people.

I finished it about a week ago, The gfx are not great but I wouldn't call them ugly, as for gameplay, I think it's a little too easy and a little too short, but it was a nice experience playing this game.
