G400 DH, newest Win2k Driver and UT

whats wrong with the drivers or ut? UT runs only on 800*600 windowed after installing the new driver with the new dh software. And now, I can't change to fullscreen!

The frames also dropped from 40 to 10...

something is wrong, and I wonder if someone got a good idea for my problem...

    thx

You know, Centurion, that if you just give us some more information about your system, your version of UT, your DirectX version and all of that, that we might have a better clue as to why things suddenly don't work anymore.

It could also be that you uninstalled your drivers wrong, didn't disable dualhead upon uninstalling your last drivers, or just did something else we haven't got a clue about.

But since neither I, nor anyone else out here on the forums have been looking over your shoulder, when you installed the new drivers, you might want to enlighten us

You might have installed anything else inbetween that could caused this.

No clues needed (well, Jord could use a clue )

      Disable DH for gaming.
With this first release of Win2k "true DualHead" drivers, 3D acceleration is disabled when using the new DH features.
It should work fine in SH mode.

Well, I thought it was obvious that I'm using only the newest stuff

          that means:
UT 4.36 including bonuspack 4 (but I did not changed anything on that)
          win2k SP1
well, I don't know the exact version number of the matrox driver, but they are the newest from their site
2 Monitors : Compaq TFT 500 Primary, Compaq V70 Secondary
          a7v 1005c with duron 650

But I deactivated the 2 monitor for gaming, its still slow.

Once upon a time I had the same trouble with ut, it doesn't change to fullscreen...

          @kruzin:
when will be drivers released with 3d acceleration for both displays?

You have to disable dualhead COMPLETELY. That means you actually go into the dualhead tab and click "DualHead disabled" then reboot.

              Perfect! Thx!

I Thought disabling the 2nd monitor was enough. UT Runs again in fullscreen, fine )

well that sucks.. I just installed the newest drivers and found that all my 3d apps are now broken. I need these for everyday use but I also need dualhead. I hope they fix this in the future. I"m going back to the older drivers!
