    WinXP, PD5.72 & Quake3...

    Hey,

    Anyone else got problem with this combo? im running quake3 1.17...

    it just freezes on the *bang boom boom* intro, sound continues, if i task switch.. im able to get the game to the title screen, then after a few secs, it freezes.

    It worked fine with 5.52 and Win2k, fine with built-in drivers in XP aswell, just slow...

      Yep I have the same problem, I suspect that’s AGPx2, and apparently there is no way of swathing from AGPx2 to AGPx1 until Matrox releases a tweak utility that supports Win XP.

          Actually, you should be able to tell your motherboard to max out at AGP1x in its BIOS.
          Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

              My mobo only lets to set AGPx2 and AGPx4
