    That's funny, I get 100+fps at 1024 with my G400. I have been playing a decent speed for sometime

        how do you get that speed? the highest i had on my max is 75fps, and that was 16bit z-buffer/color and no trilinear filtering and no shadows.

        and what is the framerate in textmode?

          The highest QuakeII framerates I got with my G400MAX (1024x768x32) in demo1 was 68.5 and crusher was 56.8........
          in QuakeIII (1024x768x32 High Quality) I averaged 31.3 FPS.

            Hmmm. I'm running Quake 2 at 103fps at 1600x1200 w 2X FSAA with Truform models.

            Gotta love this 8500. My old G400 w/ 866mhz P3 ran Q2 at around 60fps 1027x768 demo1. Crusher was ~30fps.

              In QuakeII at 1600x1200x32, I can get 139 FPS....
              in the "timerefresh" demo..............on my Radeon8500
