    UT help needed

    Hi,
I just installed UT again and it now says it's version 400.
As I stopped playing UT more than a year ago I am a little confused about what patches / bonuspacks etc I should install to have the current version running.
Looks like 436 is the patch level I should go for, is there a patch from 400 to 436 or do I have to apply several updates?
    Thanks in advance!

You only need the Utpatch436 it will update version 400 to 436. Also install the bonus pack it contains extra maps

    Second: Dual PIII 1GHz | 21" Monitor | G200MMS + Quadro 2 Pro | 512MB ECC SDRAM | SCSI

      Thanks,
I was a little bit confused, because when searching around I found some 'update-to-436-no-delta' which was about 30MB.
      UTpatch436 worked perfectly.

Make sure it is all 4 Bonus Packs. To match up with the GOTYE, add Chaos UT and Rocket Arena UT but those are not necessary.

        I would also recommend
the EAX patches if you have a Creative Live, Live 5.1, or Audigy.

        Edit:
The No-Delta is if you have problems with the regular patch.

I (and many others) get a massive frame hit with this enabled. Try it and see! If you are used to the standard UT sound you might find it a bit weird!
          Cheers, Reckless

Really? I get way more of a hit from changing to 32bit color.

i would also suggest after your playing online for awhile and you have determined your favorite servers, to ask the owner where you can get a copy of the maps they use. it's always good to practice with the custom maps your used to playing online. And its very helpful if you have a 56k or less, so you dont have to download maps all the time and get left outta the games.

ThHis rminds me of a question I've never bothered finding the answer for. In earlier versions of UT, I was able to choose 1600x1200x32bit on my 32MB card as long as the desktop was not maxed out. With 436, I can't. It doesn't really matter as 1280 by 960 at 32bit is more than enough. I have tried this with DX 7 to 8.1 and from version 6.33 to 28.80 of my Asus drivers to no help. Is it a restriction or is there a setting I can flick?
