Hmm there is three files 1 is in the UT\maps, 1 in UT\Textures and in UT\Sounds try and move the one that is in the maps folder (UTCredits.unr) and see if you can just dl it form the server.
Maybe that will fix it!

Thank you for replies, furtunately no reinstalation was required, restarting pc seemed of helped.

This is the first game that I have EVER played straight through to the next release of the game.
Diablo dominated my days for a while, but even that faded away. UT seems to hold my interest somehow.
I think it is all of you guys that has kept it interesting.

So anyone playing tonight?? There wasn't a big turnout last night, and my ping was in the thousands. I'm pretty sure it was my connection though...just one of those nights.

What I meant was ....
When tracing the IP with NeoTrace it goes through 14 hops before reaching the server ( 15 hops total) and the response time is 159 ms.
Is the server also located in St.Louis ?
So for me .. being from Denmark .. it's not fun playing on that particular server.

It's not a bad server (heck, since Matrox pulled their support, any server at all is a good thing), but be warned that getting a broadband connection doesn't necessarily help a lot there. I usually have the lowest ping in the server (causing me to have a bit of a complex, since I'm also one of the more experienced players; ping is almost an unfair advantage). Even so, my ping spikes quite often there.
So if your ping isn't so hot, but still playable (less than 500 or so), just have fun. Even losing isn't so bad then (trust me, Beezer particularly likes to throw me off my stride by picking that one floating castle map,).
