    Battlefield 1942 and Parhelia

    Hi guys.

I am so in to a new game... Finally something fun. Biggest yet... Second biggest online game after CS and it is still a beta... Multiplayer only has been out this week... WOW!

Now, how does the Parhelia run this game? Anyone tried multiplayer demo?
What resolution can you run with all features at max? What processor and how much mem do you run it with?

It was OK for me in 1280x1024 with FAA and everything, the only problem was FAA for some reason blurred the text in the menus, deactivating it solved the problem...other than that, it ran smooth, even though it isn't really my kind of game.

on my GF3 the text is also pretty bad, I tried in 800x600: text was unreadable
      1024x768 text was better readable

could you try if gigacolor works with this game

        It does, no issues here.

I played around with it the other day. I couldnt get the single Player demo of the game to run at all, but the new Multiplayer demo works fine and runs pretty good with "unoffical" drivers.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

            Hi,

This game was tested on our side and we see the same issue with the fonts but the game looks great at 1280x1024 as well.

It has already been reported on our side.

doh, just installed it and i get some fairly hefty corruption of the icons while in game. the rendered data looks good, its just things like the map and the ammo indicators look like crap.

oh well, gotta wait for the next driver release =)

Supposedly you can get it to work in surround mode but i tried the method posted and had no luck.

Looks like a fun game tho. It'd rule in surround!

                  I received my parhelia yesterday
At 1024x768x32 the games plays very smooth .
MY GF3 ti200 at 175@220 and memory 200@220 it didn't ran always smooth at this resolution. But that could be cause by the 4x anisotropic filtering . but I don't a GF3 anymore so

Anyone got blue screen errors while playing 1942 ?
I had 4 of them, but 2 of them when running the leaked beta drivers. the other 2 with the 231 drivers.

They should be fixed next driver release , which will be available soon (haig told me ). But just interested if anyone else had some bluescreens
