Anyone with a P play Tribes2?

The performance is er...pathetic at best. 1024 no AA and I'm lucky to hit 30fps.
Is this really the best I can expect?
(went from consistent 70 on a vanilla GF3 and well over 120 on my old 4600)

should be the drivers... i bet u can get 30s on a g550... so parhelia should be able to do better than that.

Using the 1.01.02.090 WHQL drivers. WinXP Pro SP1

So you are using old drivers.
Have you tried the 1.03 drivers yet?

Tried the 1.03 drivers. Even went so far as reinstalling tribes and patching to the most recent build. Fresh config got me highs of ...wait for it....35. If it looked spectacular I could understand, but it doesn't, it looks like absolute crap. Turned every option up (bar the fps killers, sky detail and super hi-res models) and it looks like everything is down as low as it'll go.
T2 *used* to look like this (ignore the clipping, took the screen dump to illustrate a game bug)

Note the 85fps lower left hand corner, that was a *LOW*.

Replace "Tribes 2" with "Half-Life" and it's still true. Matrox has some major driver issues, but they won't even own up to them.

go back to tribes 1, its better...........besides tribes 2 is a slide show on my G200
