I remember testing a game with that some time ago so yes. Do a web search for 3dcc. It can switch directX between the M3d, primary video card and a 3dfx card. Use this if you have problems in any DX games and any program that specifically uses the m3d can still use it.

I could never really tell if my M3D ever did anything. Honestly, I didn't notice any improvement. I can say that the drivers didn't cause the system to crash. I guess that's a good thing.
      P.S. You've been Spanked!

Back when Unreal I came out, it ran beautifully on this card. It was OK for it's time but 3DFX blew it away.

I remember taking the metal backet off it just to get it to fit in a combo slot with an ISA card as well.

That card is limited to DX5 operations, and has no real OGL support.

The poor little thing had only 4MB of memory which was low even for back then.

It should work with DX8, but it will never support anything past DX5 features. This is a hardware limitation. DX8 did not exist when that card was made.
And you will never see any BIOS or driver updates for it. That card was put out to pasture years ago.

I still have my ol' Pure3D card from Canopus. The Voodoo one cards at that time usually only had 4mb of RAM But mine had 6mb! Ahh, memories. I'm keeping it around in case one of these days I decide to build just a game box, and I can put it in there, then run Interstate 76 the way it was meant to be played! Damn game won't work in XP

                        Dear Kruzin

That you say is not completely true. Nec and Videologic have a generic driver for the
cards based in powervr PCX2 chipset, this driver is dated october 98 version 4.1.2C1 (10 month after the date of the last and only Matrox driver for this card) and give you the option to set the
advanced configuration of the card, it s really work fine and I solved a cup of problems with this drivers.

                        Regards
