Expendable and problems with Direct X 6.1

I'm also having problems with Expendable can't configure the mouse or joy stick. Also when I try to install Direct X 6.1 on Win98 second addition I get an error can anyone help me with this.

You don't need that DirectX 6.1 because you have already DirectX 6.2 on your Win98SE.
