Halflife - Cannot See Underwater

I have G200 AGP 8MB
I have latest version 1.10 of Half Life
I have DirectX 6.1

I know I used to be able to see underwater but now I cannot. Any Suggestions gladly
welcomed.

This was an issue for the early G200 drivers--got the latest ?
