          Hmmm ,I think they're cheating ,someone should tell SETI@home.

          Strange that they have nearly 100 members with 0 WU's?a cover perhaps?

                  I checked out the setidoubler thing. I'm a bit disappointed, I was hoping to get 1600 WUs tonight. It seems to just do a batch download and then process them in order. It doesn't seem to be anything special. They probably don't understand what the word double means.

                      The program seems to be for buffering WUs on a dual CPU system, hence doubler.

                              The many members might be a cover thing. Look also at the two "other" members who seem to be crunching at an average of a minute or two.. are these aliases for the #1 guy? He must have figured out how to manually alter the result file or something.

                                      #9 (21.1 sec. avg. for 984 WUs) and #82 (2 min., 17.6 sec. avg. for 99 WUs) also look very suspecious.

                                      Is it time to call in the SETI Police to check this out? Is there even such a thing?

                                      What's the fastest legitimate time for a "standard" work unit that anyone has ever heard of (not including those ones that SETI runs through in just a few minutes)? What type of hardware was it on?

                                          Charles, if you look on http://seti.mynoggin.net/cgi-bin/table.cgi
                                          you will see the fastest is 45 minutes.
                                          Since this bench-unit doesn't have gaussian it's faster, but around 10% doesn't have gaussian.
