Folding + intellimouse = lock up

My work computer used to run folding without a problem, but when I plug in a USB intellimouse explorer the computer will crash overnight.

If I remove the mouse ovewrnight it won't crash
or
If I disable the folding screen saver it won't crash

Any known problem or solution?

if the mouse is plugged in it WILL crash evernight.

I currently have no intellipoint software installed.

I am about to install software to see if it helps

yes it did help, first time installing micro$oft software actually stopped a crash.

The mouse seems to stay "on" all the time now instead of powering down, and no crashes..
