Out of curiosity, how many 'puters you got crunching?

One more question, what client priority should I put ?
Or should I leave it alone at 20 ?
I get 50-55% usage, guess HT's good for something afterall.
One more generation and I've done my first set, though with 29 hours I'm not quite happy.
I'm averaging about 7 minutes / generation, on par with your 29 figure, on my 6 machines at home. The range is from 5.5 to 8 minutes / gen. over the last 2 days.
I have the client running as a service on all 6. The client priority is set to 20 on all but one of them. I have it set to 0 on my main system that I'm using all the time, so it crunches more

I am thinking about buying/buidling a machine that is either an opteron or hyper-threading P4 for gaming. Which to choose though. Either would be a good addition to the fold. Perhaps first the P4 then the Opteron once the early adopters get to adequately criticize it. Hmmmmmmmmm.

If you can get a board that does not have 939/940 pin compatabilty thing I would go the opteron, but I think it may take some months before you will really be sure the current boards won't have issues with new CPU's.

@Sitflyer - You are going to take 3rd place quicker than expected. Most if not all of my machines will be down during the hurricane.

Gonna take the server to the bosses house and the backup hard drive to my house if I can make it in time.

All except my home machine are down. We even turned off and unplugged the phone system. We cannot take any chances with that as phones are a mortgage broker's life blood.

Good luck getting through the storm.

Installed DF as a service, prority 0, set to use extra ram and went on playing Aquanox 2 for a few hours.
No noticeable slowdown in either game or DF.

All but my home machine are up and running. I reformatted my home machine last night so it could boot off the promise controller. Apparently it did not like my 20GB ultra66 drive but it likes my 40GB Ultra100.

Now all are running most at least for this weekend are running 24/7 that may make up my drop.

It would beat the P75 I had running SETI for a while.

                                Edit:
Did some estimation calculations with my farm due to everything being on. At a little over 30,000 points per hour taking the ram doubling into account, machines fold the current protein at roughly 480 points/ghz-hour.

So a hyperthreading 2.4ghz machine with extra ram on would do:
2.4 * 1.5(Hyper Threading) * 2(Extra Ram) would do ~ 3445 points per hour or ~82679 points per day or ~578756 points per week.
