    Jorden,

Nice dancing... whatever the hell those things are.

Anyway, yeah it's our decision, but it's amusing to hear what everyone else thinks anyway.

And with our shared predilection for fantasy, we're working really hard to NOT choose names we both love... which happen to belong to a comic-book or fantasy-novel character.

Those things dancing around my name, are both a version of Clyde

Not from Bonnie & Clyde, but the Clyde from Creatures, a game on the C64
      <hr>
Maybe you should consider getting your family tree and look around in there for names that stick

        Hey Jorden,

Yes its one of my fantasy names, I liked it so much I use it for my on-line handle, as well as D&D character name.

Yes naming is up to us, but we do like to hear some of the different ones out there. As my baby name book says we'd like to get beyond Jennifer and Jason....

I still fail to see what's wrong with Ash.

And we both like the name Silja, which was my great-grandmother's name. However, we already named the cat Silja.

I can just picture it in 20 years...

          "The DOG was named Indiana..."
          "The CAT was named Silja..."

          Hrm.

Andrei (or Andrew) for the boy

              Admiral,

Nice try. But there's already a cousin (well spouse of cousin, but still) named Anna. Plus there was this girl in our college dorm freshman year who... well... had lots of "dates". Sometimes three or four in a night. Her name was Anna. Not a parallel we want to draw.

Go for a Scandinavian name. That will make it a real name and sound fantasy like for most Americans.

Boy = Haakon (Hawk-on), Olauf (okay, maybe not), Henrick, Bjorn (Byo-rn), Treje (hmmm...that would really mess up teacher), Bunky.

Girl = Katrina, Katia, Bettina, uh...

...mind went blank. Time to reboot.

                  Jammrock,
Not bad choices, but we also want to try and make it sound good with our last name as well. We both like a lot of Celtic/Scottish types of names, trouble is most of them don't sound good with our very Jewish last name. We do have 7 more months to figue this one out though.

Picky, picky. First you want suggestions, and now they haft to go along with your last name

Perhaps if I knew your last name I could assist you better

If you're looking for scottish type names, my favourite boy's name would be Connor. It means "Knowledgeable", and it sounds really cool to boot.

Edit: Fixed a typo. Actually, it was the typo that pisses me off more than any other. I typed your instead of you're. Duh.
