If you don't have a fast connection, don't download the file!! I wouldn't do this from home, with my V90 modem. But I've tried it from work, and it was a cool thing

16Mb EDO RAM (later upgraded to 32Mb)

Philips 14" monitor

47kb/sex, um sec (god damn you guys! ) Pretty much maxing out my Teleworst's YouBlunder cable modem! I loikes fast servers!

Anyhoo - my first 'proper' PC (ignoring the 386's and 486's which didn't have a CD drive, sound card or over 100mb disk space):

Cyrix 150+ (THE Fastest chip easily available at the time! YUK!!)
Some odd mainboard (PCChips or Pine, probably)
2x32Mb RAM (I ordered 2x16 at the time!!!)
Fujitsu 540Mb + Quantum crap thing (~300mb)
Pine/Opti (ACK!) sound card
4X (later replaced by a 6X) Creative CD-ROM
1Mb Trident PCI 9440 gfx (classy card at the time!)
Some 14" screen I got from my school...
