I hate getting called to work at night !

It's now 2.30 AM here, and I'm at work

I was called in about an hour ago to fix an error in a backup-job. Unfortunately it's my own fault, I had put a comma in a datasetname instead of a period

Ah well, one of the perks of being a Database Admin I guess

Still, it sucks! Hopefully I can get home and get some sleep before they call me again, better check the rest while I'm here (and check up on the forums)

We're running one of the world's largest DB2 for OS/390 installations. We also have some SQL Server and a bit of Oracle, but I'm sticking to the mainframe based stuff.

At least it was a real problem.

I hate it most when you get called in at 11pm to 'fix' a computer, and its all user error.

We have a PI here who does most of his work at night, and he is as thick as a very thick thing.

Oh well, a $200 call out fee to 'fix' a computer that wouldnt come of standby, and it was just the monitor had been turned off (by the same PI who called me out).
