With a getinfo.dll giving you a division error? I am having the same problem in W98. I finally got it installed after doing this...

setting the screen to 16bit color and rebooting

then during the installation when it asks for online registration, go thru all the info pages, fill them, then at the end pick that you want to send the info later

and it should work... if it doesn't, I also did try to copy the whole disc 1 into a temporary directory, then replacing the getinfo.dll with a different version (I got it from a I76 gold/nitro demo) and installing from that temp dir... this worked, too...

I don't think the game likes 32bit colors. And the graphics isn't THAT bad.

BTW: I then succesfully installed the 80MB Gold Patch from Activision (the one that enables D3D, 3dfx, povervr etc... support) but found out it only lets me play in 640x480 accelerated. If anyone knows how to fix this, please tell me. (The aforementioned gold/nitro demo works in 800x600 no problemo)

I think the gold update is broken. Will check it later if I get my hands on a proper Arsenal pack.

Also, after the "you are unconscious" mission, the game crashed on me! It didn't do that back in the old 3dfx days. Oh well...

But I did get over it. Nothing can stop a determined vigilante familiar with a hex editor. I just had to skip the mission manually.

btw... I love the police chopper in the last mission... flying high and busting bad guys from above...
