    I don't believe it

Well a mechanic had rerouted an Ht lead in pecular manner so I thought I'd untwist so I pulled it off the dizzy and guess what the top of the dizzy broke off.

Err... I think he said he was moving a sparkplug wire and the top of the distribiter (sp) cap broke off.

Yup, 'dizzy' = distributor or whatever the darn spelling is. They're usually made of a high temp plastic/bakelite type substance and can be brittle if twisted the wrong way

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

hehe, wonder why he didn't say that in the first place!

Sasq, seems you're missing the spell check function we had previously.

Like you wouldn't believe, the down side of learning Japanese is my decreasing ability to spell words in English.

It might have had a crack already.
You were probably about to have to replace it any way then.

cjolley I concur I also spotted another crack so I was glad it broke while it was on my drive. Still it first time I've seen that happen.
