I don't believe it
Well a mechanic had rerouted an Ht lead in pecular manner so I thought I'd untwist so I pulled it off the dizzy and guess what the top of the dizzy broke off.

Err... I think he said he was moving a sparkplug wire and the top of the distribiter (sp) cap broke off.Comment

Yup, 'dizzy' = distributor or whatever the darn spelling is. They're usually made of a high temp plastic/bakelite type substance and can be brittle if twisted the wrong way

I didn't twist it just got hold of the rubber sheeving and pulled and the top came striaght off.Comment

cjolley I concur I also spotted another crack so I was glad it broke while it was on my drive. Still it first time I've seen that happen.Comment
