    So what's this Ghost in the Shell then????
    I'd agree with most people's choices except perhaps i'd add Dune.

    Fantastic.

      "Brazil" and "2001: A Space Odyssey" need a mention.

        What do you mean with:
        So what's this Ghost in the Shell then????
        You haven't seen it? Lots of people really love that movie and I'm sure you'd, too. The story is relatively OK, could have been better (read longer), but who cares, the action sequences are fantastic.
        Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

          Yes - definitely. And don't forget "Once Upon A Time In The West", "The Godfather", "Alien", "Taxi Driver" and so on...

              impact;

              I've lived with nature all my life. I grew up on a farm and lived there until I completed college and married.

              All told I've spent many months alone deep in the northern Michigan forest (all seasons & a 10-20 mile hike to the camp) with nothing but a tent, rifle, fishing rod and my knowledge of wild edible plants to feed me. THAT, Sir, is truly being close to nature. Why the rifle? Food and protection from mountain lions and bears.

              Believe me, this was a very much anticipated twice a year break from running the special imaging procedures unit of a major trauma hospital.

              While in those woods alone I saw many wonderous things. Still, I have yet to see anything that even remotely resembled that eco-crud of a movie...even in a symbolic manner.

              Worse yet, PM was boring

                Maybe as best musical comedy - but its up against tough competition from This Is Spinal Tap.

                And Blues Brothers 2000 just didnt spark for me. The only good bit was the bit at the end with BB King, Eric Clapton et al playing the blues.
