It's finally here and it's a girl!!

OK, 2 weeks later than scheduled, but only 3 hours ago, (1-45am GMT) we welcomed Charlotte Anne into our family. It went fantastically and they should both be coming home in a few hours time. I had to come home to pick up the car seat and let people know. 8lb 7 & 3/4 oz, a total labour of 7 hrs and a final delivery so quick we didn't even get a chance to put on some soothing music. Mom is happy as hell, as she was going to be induced this morning and Dad is:

Let the nappies (diapers) commence,

And she's already got one hell of a set of lungs
her 7 year old brother (up until now an only child) is in for a shock!!

I became uncle Andrew this morning. My brother and his wife just had their first, a girl (Rachel Erin), at 5:35am EDT this morning. Healthy and happy at 6 lbs 12 ounces. Total time from her waking him up to the birth: 3.5 hours!
