Dear Taliban/Bin Laden
We have asked at regular intervals for you to give bin laden / yourself up. So that you can stand trail for the Murder of 4000+ innocent civilans from all over the world that were residing in a peaceful manner in the twin towers of the trade centre.
However you have refused to do so so we're now going to use harsh language to tell you how wrong you are. We may offend the odd civilan in ear shot this is unavoidable however. After we have finnished using harsh language please feel free to continue blowing up innocent people around the world. But please leave us out since we have protested very strongly.

I think that should do it chaps shouldn't it.

1. Yes, we are a democracy...but the form of government has NOTHING to do with how a war is waged. As I said before; the rules are set by the agressor. No rules on their part = no rules on our part.

2. The responsibility for civilian casualties lay at the feet of the Taliban. First because they refused to surrender and hand over bin Laden and secondly because their troops are hiding under the skirts of women and children by locating themselves in civilian areas.

3. Sorry, but if the civilians don't want to be casualties they should treat the Taliban as if they hadn't bathed in 6 months....which they probably haven't

****OK, I put everything aside. September 11th. I wake up and see on the news martyrs slamming 747's into huge buildings that killed 5000+ people. I think to myself, "Oh my god! this is one of the most horrible things I've ever seen!", at this point, I start to cry. I am wondering if there is more to come. Suddenly I feel a deep sadness. I can't believe that someone would do such a thing. My feelings towards this continues for weeks to come. During those weeks I notice that pretty much everyone I come in contact with has the same deep sadness that I do. Over these weeks I hear all of the reasons why the terrorists wish death upon us. As I listen to the reasons I feel a deep anger stir in me. Every single god damned reason I heard was not even close to a justification to what the terrorists did to the WTC and the amount of people they killed.
There is a huge difference between an explanation and justification. If all you are looking for is justification, then you will never find it. However, if you can put your rage aside and look for an explanation, you just may be surprised to find one. The Afghan people probably don't think we're justified in bombing their country, either, but there certainly is an explanation for why we're doing it.

****Quit trying to justify the horrible killings that has occurred in New york. Nobody is blaming the Afghan people and we have said so on so many occasions over and over again. Nobody is trying to purposely hurt the civilians. I will be the first to say that I will not be upset by some loss of civilian life if it means that we are trying to protect ourselves as human beings against evil terrorists. You are basically a terrorist sympathizer.
Again, I'm not tyring to justify it. It is blatantly obvious that when you hear something, you immediately run it through your "justification filter" to see if it is ok. It not only has to do with what we think we're doing, it also has a lot to do with what other people think we're doing. The Afghan people probably don't think we're bombing them out of a justified cause, so they will quite possibly begin to hate us. I am not a terrorist sympathizer, I can just look at the overall picture and put my personal emotion aside. One should not act out of rage or anger, it is often the least appropriate response.

****this is the biggest crock of shit I have ever heard. You think the taliban women like to resemble ghosts, like to not work, like to be slaves, like to basically live the rest of there lives in fear and wonder if they are going to get raped that day, beaten, or tortured and killed becasue they accidentally showed a piece of flesh. dude, you are horribly mis-informed if you think that a lof of those people only follow the taliban because they live in fear for there lives because they are being terrorized daily by there own freaking government. AFghan women surely know because they secretly put on makeup even it if means death because they need to knwo that there is some hope or sanity outisde of there living hell. They are not allowed to be schooled past the age of 12 because the government doesn't think they need it. But they secretly teach little girls and women schools underground even if it means death because they need to hold onto some hope man! They have have the highest death rate in the world among women who give birth because men aren't allowed to treat them and the few women left that are allowed are starting to diminish because they are allowed to learn. They hold open executions in the one football stadium and glamourize it. They shoot people in the back of the head with there hands tied behind there backs. Noe tell me what youthink these people are seeing? BTW, I can prove any of my above statements where as you can probably only make that stupid crap up. I haven't even mentioned the poverty part. The taliban women trade molded bread crumbs(less than a slice of bread) and feed it to their 5 starving children. You think that fills them up? Now tell me what youthink the people of Afghanistan are thinking?
When did I say anything about Taliban women and how they like to live their lives? When did I say the Taliban is a good government? Fact is, I didn't. I'd like to see them gone just as much as anybody else. However when trying to remove a threat, if you harm innocent or unrelated people. YOU become the threat.

****Oh god! A typical moron statement. First ofall(I don't even know why I am going to say this, it should be known already), a nuked country would be a gone country. You think the news media would let a bombing of one of their buildings by us go unnoticed, no way in hell! Quit giving hypotehticall crap and give me some real proof of something!
Oh yes, let's nuke them all, that's the intelligent thing to do. Let's think of ourselves as being in an isolated world where there is us, and there is Afghanistan....all we gotta do is nuke them, and then it's just us. Finally, we have the solution so we can all live happily ever after.

****Screw releigion! that is why we are in those whole mess in the first place because people can't see outside of there little box and think there way is the only way. Only Allah can help them, Bullcrap! Anyway, what you are saying above has no grounds since you couldn't prove it.
You made my point for me. People can't see outside of their little box......have you ever thought you might be in a little box you can't see outside of? I guess what the military says also has no ground, because they can't prove it. "Let's bomb Afghanistan....it'll make everything better....." Prove it, then maybe I'll support bombing them.

****Well, unfortunately, the way the world works is that we are being threatened and it is human nature to protect oursleves. I am 100% behind the actions that are being taken to prevent this in the future. Do me a favor, try to imagine your whole family in the WTC when it collapsed adn then tell me how you would feel? I guarantee you your views would be different.
What you probably don't realize yet, and will unfortunately probably realize in the future, is that we are merely encouraging more terrorist attacks on the US. I weep for humanity and the wretchedness of terrorism. But I also wouldn't just go slinging fists at the first sign of trouble.

Oh, and prove that my views would be different, enough of this hypothetical crap.

Anyhow, if you don't like what I have to say, that's just fine. However I've been seeing large terrorist attacks happening on the US for many years....I'm surprised it took this long for one to actually happen. And I won't be surprised when one happens again. But call me a moron as much as you want, insult me all you want, think I'm as dumb as you want, that's your prerogative. I will say no more.

And these a**holes want to rule the world and impose their form of justice which calls for immediate execution of anyone who speaks out againist them.

Aren't you glad that you live in a country where you can speak your mind?

I don't mind anyone wanting peace as long as they come up with an alternative. However they don't they just sit there on there soap box and keep on saying the same thing. Their eyes glaze over if you point out the wrong the other side has also done and is still doing evil things.
If you want peace instead of condoning the taliban regime and hence the terrorists and saying you hate the US find ways of putting preasure on the Taliban regime to hand over Bin Laden.

Haq's nephew Mohammed Yousuf told reporters in Pakistan that the former guerrilla and a companion were taken to the Rishkore barracks near Kabul and hanged. Their bodies were then sprayed with bullets, he said.
And some of y'all think the US is a big meany for still practicing capital punishment.

Wow spogenet!

Spoogenet -

Thats what I said in an earlier thread. You cant justify the attack on the WTC.

All we are doing with these attacks is preping MORE people with a grudge. More people who will be willing to die for a cause (and take as many innocents with them as they can)

The war should be with binladen - not with the taliban - the Northern alliance were worse!!!! They were in control before and were ousted by the taliban....

The taliban DID offer to hand him over, remember? The US wouldnt tell them why he was a suspect, remember? Would you expect the US to hand over a national staying leagally in america?

RedRed, the Taliban were actively supporting terrorism. We were quite heavy-handed with them initially, but there were reasons.

The Taliban never offered to hand him over. They said that if we did not attack, they would "enter into negotiations about possibly handing bin Laden over to a neutral country." This is a bullshit stalling tactic.

And it would have been nice of us to say why he was a suspect, but he was already formally indicted for the embassy bombings, and the Taliban refused to hand him over for that, then and now. And for the matter, the US would probably have deported an indicted foreigner, and hold him for extradition.

Correct. We have the means to protect our country and we will do so at our discretion. After all it's our civillians and our country they ****ed with.

You just have to make up some excuses to cover all the #$% *cough*like:allafghansarewannabeterrorists*cough* so that the UN/OSN/whoever is currently (wink, wink) protecting (wink, wink) the human rights will bless your doings.
I think we are more than justified in bombing them back to the stone age.

Rob, it's not a matter of sinking to a level. It's a matter of defeating the scum of the earth. In order to win a war against the scum of the earth, you have to play without all the normal boundaries, otherwise they are popping out of them while you are sitting in your bounds watching them thump you and killing your people. It's called defending yourselves. I would be outraged if our government was sitting idle doing nothing about this.

They should be counterattacking. I'm fine with that. I support it. But Doc's comments about rules is what bothers me. There's nothing wrong with obeying rules, even if your opponent doesn't.
