Brr the first bit of winter

Ah the first sleet and snow of winter has turned up.
I'm looking at the windchill and it reckons a chill of -16 C.
The outside temp is 1.3C and the wind gusting to 30MPH stronger later. Somehow I don't believe the windchill factor.

Is that using the new Wind Chill Index or the old?

Was around 55 F here today. Usually there's no snow here until January.

I never trust the weatherman.. I just stand nekid on the balcony for 5 minutes and then come in and measure how far my nuts are hangin... its accurate to a 10th of an inch...

It only works until about -30 Degrees C... then they just freeze up solid and the measurement goes all out of whack

It's a beautiful 5 C here in the Midwest, USA. The sky is clear, the stars are out and the air is crisp. Absolutely perfect autumn weather.

It was 82 (28 C) earlier this week here in Dallas Texas.

My daughter is 7 years old and she has only seen snow 3 times!

                              Pit,
Being the Southerner that I am, most winters here are snowless.

The last time I can recall having snow on Xmas day was in the early 70's (probably 71/72).

                              regards MD
