I can't believe you guys continue to argue over this crap. Obviously no one is going to see the others side. I am starting to hate these threads at MURC. Eventually most of us regulars get pulled in and no one can agree on anything so it turns into an insult fest. I vote for closing this thread.

If you want to call the palestinians terrorists then that make the israeli terrorists aswell.

But the problem is that there is one major difference between the two of them. While the Palestinian militants specifically target civilians as in the night club bombings, the pizzera bombings, taking buses and running them into crowded bus stops, etc. the Israelis are going after what would be considered military targets, security forces offices, militant hideouts and buildings being used in attacks againist Israel.

It is unfortunate that palestinian civilians are getting killed and I wish the fighting would stop but it won't until both, and let me repeat that both sides agree to a cease fire, and keeps it, and sits down like adults and work this out.

They are both acting like two groups of kids on a play ground throw rocks at each other. While one side is throwing rocks at the ones throwing the rocks the other side is throwing the rocks at those standing on the sidelines.

I read any article in which the Saudi prince reckons there should be a buffer zone keeping the two sides apart. I thought that had been tried before and the sucide bombers attacked attacked the personnel manning the buffer zone.

The problem, of course, is that Arafat rewards (monetarily) the family of a suicide bomber. It's their ticket out of poverty.

And if you'd like to know why the average Palestinian lives in poverty, why don't you take a look at where their aid money goes (here's a hint, look at Arafat's bank accounts).

I heard this before and also heard something about soliders coating tips of bullets with pigfat (though I think this would gum up their weapons pretty quick) so they couldnt goto heaven because they be contamated by swine.

There is but it doesn't hold the guarantee that dying while fighting in the name of Allah does. They believe that at the time of their great judgement their good deeds will be put on one side of a scale and their bad deeds on the other and depending on which way the scales tilts as to whether you go to heaven or go to hell.

Suicide bombing != heaven.

1) The killing of innocents is prohibited in Islam.
2) God turned a rather reknowned warrior away from heaven even though he died in battle. God said that the man died for his own glory, not for God's. I suspect these terrorists fall into that category.

Really Joel, I've mentioned these things before. I don't understand why you persist in saying that Islam condones these actions, when I've brought this to your attention previously.
Saying that these wingnuts are acting in the name of Islam is on par with saying that Jerry Falwell's followers represent Christianity's teachings.
