My first online nick was azrael (from which az derived), and the cat is Azrael, Gargamel's cat from the smurfs - and since I really like cats and my family even has an orange cat and I find the pic cute...

I decided on a change and found this one

Had to jump on the Parhelia bandwagon

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

No, actually a picture of a Parhelia, and several other lighting features, from an astronomy site.

The arc on top is called an "upper tangent arc"

The arc through the parhelia is called a "parhelic arc"

The feature at the bottom is called a "lower tangent arc"

There is another one out of the frame at the top that looks like a "U" and is called the "circumzenithal arc"

Each is caused by different shapes of ice crystals, or cominations of crystals.

Like I was saying... it doesn't show up too well... its a picture off a card that I have... with two little deer like things about to get eaten by a Mammoth Crocodile that is bursting out of a river... the card itself is cool but I think my mistake was scanning it at such a high resolution that the DPI of the scan was greater than the DPI of the print so that when I resized the pic it lost alot of quality.

                    But its still pretty cool.

I got inspired by Kindness as well, but all I could find was this slightly outdated picture ...

This is an embossed picture of my son's face from when he was a baby. When tiled, it worked well as a background for a webpage.

Maybe I'll replace it when my next child is born in October
