England have a habit of playing brilliantly one day and throwing it all away the next. Every match you watch you wonder if this will be the one when they balls it up.
At least we lost to a quality side.
Personally, I think the ref should be shot. Ronaldinio's foul should have been a yellow. A straight red was far, far too harsh.
Congratulations Brazil. It looks like the Cup will be yours.
Still, at least we beat the Argies

RichL I agree with you there.
Brazil didn't get upset kept cool and they look like winners.
What I hate is watching teams I love make one or two errors and we made two and each one was a goal. To Brazil that says a good team. For us a great future.
First goal that should have been out for a throw in. Beckhan no doubt afraid of being injured again didn't make sure. 2nd goal Peter Shilton job alseap big occasion.Comment

We couldn't have had a better opportunity to beat Brazil but we didn't take it. Appauling red card decision, ref should be shot after his performance in this competition.
Oh well never mind, the key thing is we beat Argentina!!

Well done to Brazil. Thoroughly deserved win.
England were just poor, and didn't look like they were up for it in the second half. With a couple of minutes to go they were just passing it around and strolling about, rather than pressing forward.
Ronaldinho should have been shown a yellow for a clumsy challenge, nothing more.
I feel sorry for David Seaman - hardly made a mistake in the whole competition before Brazil's second goal.

Sorry we weren't poor over the entire match bar two mistakes we were no worse than Brazil.
