Perhaps not so silly as the lawsuit refers to the early P4's which were crap and did get their asses kicked. Thats why AMD were able to sell a lot of cpu's.Comment

The reason for it was the P4's low IPC score.....
And it still has a low IPC score, its just that it has reached insane MHz so it dont show that much now!If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

Also adding a bit more cache helped it along as well. Still if the marketing guys weren't sticking there nose in and let the techies do there job the P4 may have been later but it would have been better.Comment
