Ahh recently they have been better, they admited to the abductions circa 1978, actually the 5 remaining survivors are in japan at the moment visiting their relatives for the first time in 24 years, until 3 weeks ago no-one knew if they we're even alive.

The trouble with those 5 is that they're hardly saying anything. N. Korea still has them on a leash. Their children are still held hostage in N. Korea.

My viewpoint is that North and South Korea have no reason (now that the Cold War is over) to be at odds with one another. Should the world step back and encourage the union of the two, some good may come of it, much like the unification of Germany post-cold war...

Your opinion needs a little more education. Encourage their union? In fifty-thousand words or less, explain how you'll get these two governments to even stop shooting at each other.

Yes. I do believe it has just a tad bit to do with N. Korea (with China's backing) trying to annex the entire peninsula.

Maybe you're implying that MacArthur should have been allowed to take all of N. Korea?
