    Last weekend Storms people still without power.

    1) Shouldn't power lines be placed underground rather than above ground.
    2) Some companies are refusing compensation despite not re-connecting people after six days. The weather hasn't been bad since then.

    Disgusting really isn't it.

    Towns: underground (expensive but the only real option).

    Long distance: above ground (cheap and practical).

    It's the rural wires on wooden posts that get hit worst with a storm - quite often the posts are pretty old.
