Free speech hypocracy.....Part II

What drives me nuts is there is NO FREE SPEECH in the workplace.........I have seen people get canned for having a negative opinion of a company policy or the like
I was given an ultimatim last night for complaining about company policies being blown off in regards to me, took 4 months to be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses, 8 months for my uniform reimbursement (after 90 days per policy), and I am still waiting on my company jacket 9 months after I started....they have it but wont give it to me (I am in violation of policy)
SO I get told I have to travel to a different location an hour+ away instead of my normal workplace 15 mins away so I can be "watched"
by the higher ups
that or the door 2 weeks b4 christmas
(sighs)

Places don't consider this a matter of free speech. They consider it a matter of you bringing down moral by complaining even when it is justified. As for being watched, they are probably just trying to get you to quit. Just look for another job. Take advantage of their slow action. Bite your toungue and act like a good little peon (no offence intended) and then leave when it it is convenient for you. Just hurry as they will be waiting for a trumped up reason to fire you.

I guess some are right when they say the US doesn't have true freedom of speech. Look at the coals that Trent Lott is being ranked across right now because of his comments at Strom Thurmon's 100th birthday celebration.

No, I believe he is being ranked over the coals for two main reasons. He's Republican and of course the news media is mainly made up of Democratic Liberals and his stances againist what some view as reverse discrimination.
Of course, he has done some things in the past that he himself has even said he is not all that proud but so have all of us. Doesn't mean we should have to have it thrown up in our faces everytime we turn around.
Of course there are some who can say basically the some thing from the opposite end and get away with it without any mention of it.
We have the Black Entertainment Network, where is the White Entertainment Network?
We have the Congressional Black Caucus, where is the Congressional White Caucus??
We have the NAACP, where is the NAAWP???
In some of our schools we have the Black Engineers Associations, where are the White Engineers Associations????
And if blacks want to have an all black dance at school it is called a cultural experience but if whites try to organize an all white dance they are accused of being racist and discrimatory?????
You have a Negro College Fund but where is the Caucasian College Fund??????
Of course I know you will label me a racist because of what I just wrote but that OK because I know better.

The whole attitude of the Democratic party and American liberals in general is racist against the founding people and culture of this country. There is so much negative propaganda spewed by the left wing media (what is their ulterior motive here? I'll leave it to you to reason out, if there can be any reason to this hatred) that the effect is a certain self-hatred has been instilled in impressionable European-Americans. The endless parade of Holocaust miniseries and books is out to tell us we are all evil for standing by while this was happening and we should all die as penance for it, even though even the vast majority of Germans didn't realize what was going on at the time (whether or not this was the intent of the Shoah literature, this is the effect). We are further expected to do penance for taking the land from Native Americans and enslaving Africans, and now we have Black filmmakers spewing their hatred from movies like Higher Learning, which pulls no punches in showing how evil they think we are.. how our very existence is just wrong.. how their very existence is so perfect and right and their hatred against us is perfectly justified. And those who dare to think otherwise are lambasted as racists by those weak minded, traitorous fools who have allowed themselves to be brainwashed by the media. For those many of you who have not read Dante's Inferno, by the way, it was not racists being perpetually tortured on the lowest level of Hell by Satan himself, but the likes of Brutus and Judas.. traitors.Originally posted by Joel

Oh yes, it's just the media blowing things out of proportion.
How the hell can he say something likeand mean anything BUT the support of racism in America?I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had of followed our lead we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either. -- Trent Lott at Strom Thurmond's 100th birthday party
A little background for the non-Americans: Strom was a Dixiecrat, a group of Democrats that split off from the party, and formed the States' Rights party, whose entire platform was based in enforcing segregation. Thurmond's Presidential bid won four states, including 87% of the Mississippi votes.
I want to tell you, ladies and gentleman, that there's not enough troops in the army to force the southern people to break down segregation and admit the Nigra race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into our homes, and into our churches." -- Strom Thurmond, then-governor of South Carolina, in a speech from his 1948 "Dixiecrat" Presidential campaign.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Defend for me your position (if it is in fact your position) that a desire for segregation is synonymous with hatred or even with racism.

Not just segregation. Strom wasn't even trying for "separate but equal." Dixiecrats were fighting to retain the poll tax, and to block anti-lynching legislation. From the platform:The negro is a native of tropical climate where fruits and nuts are plentiful and where clothing is not required for protection against the weather ... The essentials of society in the jungle are few and do not include the production, transportation and marketing of goods. [Thus] his racial constitution has been fashioned to exclude any idea of voluntary cooperation on his part.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw.
