That "No call" list has been here in Colorado for about a year now.
I was one of the first to sign up, and it's been great.
In the last year, I've only gotten 2 or 3 calls, and as soon as I mention the no call list, they quickly apologize and hang up

It was great in Colorado while I still had a land line. It will if you and everyone you know flood your Senator's local office with so many phone calls on the matter that they can't conduct business as usual.
Grass-roots campaigns CAN work if enough people feel strongly enough about the issue.

We used to get 6+ calls a day. Quite annoying for Andrea as she was working nights at the time. Since registering, I've not had a single call in... 2years I think.The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

Every company must subscripe to a register, by law, containing people that do not want to be contacted. This register gets updated monthly so it can take a few cycles to things to start to work... As i said, two years on and we have not had a call in recent memory
