I probably get this message on a daily basis. It's hella annoying. I typically open multiple threads at a time, and after I reply to one, I click on the next tab to reply to the next. If it's a short thread and I reply within 30 seconds (which is often), i get the above message. Then I have to stare at the screen and wait to post.

It also bothers me when I go to post multiple pictures in a thread...with one picture per post. I have to wait each time. a one minute job then takes me 4 minutes.

Can you please lower the time to 10 or 15 seconds at most? That's plenty of time to prevent spam and double posting.

double posting is not an issue as the forum software itself checks for a double post *usualy*

However 30 seconds is my final offer, many other sites require a 60 delay.

Less and spamming is an issue, your not the poor SOB who has to delete spam when it does come in.

Aww, come on. Hey, here's an idea:

anyone in the group "super murcer" has the variable changed to a lower time (10 seconds).

The only people who would spam would be new users, ie not Super Murcers. eh eh?

30 is reasonable, even with 30s a spam bot did quite a bit of damage last year.

And giving 10 seconds to some super murcers is like giving a box of matches and a litre of petrol to a pyromaniac..

I think anyone with at least 100 posts (MURCer) should be able to post once every 10-15 seconds. Some people just write faster than others. You could change the minis to every 60 seconds and spam would be pretty much gone. I think Kooldino has a point.. by the time anyone hits 100 posts, someone should be able to see the spammer as a spammer and ban him.
