    request to make sticky?

    Sasq (or Ees),

Is it possible to make this thread a sticky one:

It contains a tutorial on how to set up a BOINC client on a computer that has no internetaccess.

    Thanks!

Echoed. Or alternatively if Martin doesn't mind, Dan could perhaps nominate another mod for the Dist@MURC forum given the recent fresh breath of life we've got there?

I think GNEP wants to candiate to join the elite and select club of moderators, along with all the fringe benefits it implies...

      Ooh, the power!

Wasn't thinking particularly of me, (wouldn't I run the risk of getting a nasty title like az? ) more that Ees isn't around as much as before so unless Sasq wants all the work for himself, maybe we should "volunteer" someone...

Admit it, GNEP, you are just curious:

Uhm, GNEP did not even post in that thread....I did and you prolly had the most there. You're a mod already anyway, why not do this one as well.

Of course, if GNEP wanted it, I'd vote for him rather than you.

Think about... Do you really want me to be a mod in your playground?
(just kidding, I wouldn't mind though...)

Sure? I mean, GNEP also passed you...

Could be... It'll take me till Sunday before I can upload my non-networked PCs results...

(shouldn't we take this discussion in the distrubuted forum?)

Well, you saw what happend last Sunday...

I'm not sure how much trickles, the PC will have worked about 92 hours on boinc exclusively, 2 units in parallel...
It used to be at 7.5 sec/trickle, but that has been sped up a lot by running only 2 units in parallel in stead of 4 units.

                    92 hrs, my guess is 7.5 hrs per trickle (based on yer normal P4 2.4), so, uhm.... 2 x 92 / 7.5 = 24.53333333 trickles....dang!

OK, barring my nightmare of you getting more PCs active, I should catch up for real in two and a half weeks.....

The sucking up I need to do to my sis, I'll take for granted.

Anything to grind you to dust.

Meanwhile, if they'd only get their stats thing right, we should be approaching #50 quite quickly methinks.....

Yeah, I guess this is not exactly the right forum for this. Had we an active moderator for DC, he might transfer this thread, make the other one stick and we'd all be happy.

The other one is stuck, and a mod can only move out of their forum, not in.
