The drivers aren't really pre-release, the Kyro 2 is just a clocked-up Kyro 1, which has been on the marked for over a year, the drivers had better be good by now.

CHAAS: The Kyro II is basically just a clocked-up Kyro, yet it has more transistors, and I doubt they're all just for higher clockspeeds. So I think the new drivers are not the same than the old ones, you're right though that the code base will likely be the same. I tink they work with all games now, though,including MBTR.

Kyro II has the BEST win2k drivers of ALL gaming cards. They're always at least as fast as the Win9x ones and sometimes even faster. Tom doesn't know sh*t

And their drivers are quite good. All that were reviewed were pre-release drivers and they were WAY better than for example nVidia's.

Drivers are no issue with the Kyro II.

The issue is, neither the card nor the manufacturer contain an M

So quit saying it might be or is official. Until you've seen confirmation on www.matrox.com everything is still a hoax !!

I checked out the Mercedes Home Page and they had a very short brief on there... It said "Matrox and Mercedes use Mitsubishi Plant to produce New High Speed Convertible Processor Chip with Continental Kit and Hardtop cooling fan... 17Amps to the Gallon and 3 Quarts of TMU Grease...

This thing even has leather Ram Covers.

Sounds expensive...

I want one!!!!!

Funny enough, Mercedes is coming out with a new line of SUV, the G series (I kid you not!) Looks kind of like the Range Rover.

xortam, the G series has been out since about 1970 or so. Very good offroad, but from what I hear about as useful on road as a Morris Minor towing a 20 foot boat.
