The company who figures out how to maintain a frame rate floor will truly have the hardware to beat. The human eye can't really distinguish between 60fps and 100fps. Thirty frames a second to sixty, maybe, but not between 60 and 100. Take that "excess" processing power and give me quality. I have my doubts if that can be ever acheived since it all depends on what the card is rendering at any given moment,so there's alot of variables to consider(amount of polys,texture use,depth complexity,etc).note to self...
