    Which Parhelia would you buy?

Hypothetically ... lets say that the upcoming announcement of the Parhelia cards include two products available for purchase: a 64 MB version sporting DualHead for $300 and an 128 MB version sporting TriHead for $400. Which card would you buy?

You might want to keep in mind that you'll need the space and extra monitor for that TriHead. I've got the space and I could justify a third monitor for the extra desktop and Doom 3 Surround Gaming joy.

Jazzz ... looks like you changed your mind and decided for the TriHead vs. waiting. Do we need some other option in the poll?

Even with my current soon-to-be-replaced system, provided Parhelia performs in line with it's hardware specs I really would like to get one at launch. Even being CPU limited I would still be able to enjoy the image quality, AA, and features, which are the reasons the card is so appealing in the first place.

It looks like you need to be a mod to edit the poll. We could have added another option stating "I don't plan on buying a new video card any time soon" but lets just keep it the way it is. Those people should just vote that they'll wait.

From what I understand, in reading the white papers, tri-head will be support on all the Parhelia cards. So I don't think you will have to decide between dual-head and tri head. You will have that option no matter which card you buy.

                          TriHead on all Parhelias

I haven't finished reading all the white papers but I haven't run across anything that led me to that conclusion. In fact, it was stated that not all features would necessarily be available on all cards. This is a hypothetical announcement and I'm mainly interested in seeing how price sensitive people are to the gaming/business Parhelias as well as their willingness to exploit the TriHead.

I can't really justify anything more than $250 or so for a video card, so I'll have to wait and see.

Then again, in the Feature Summary PDF there is this thing in my sig... And I couldn't find what the single asterisk refers to, so I'm a pessimist and expect that it might refer to any of the features mentioned in the document
