Someone 'Splain " HDTV Decoder & HDTV Video Scaler to me.

The press releases all mention a TV encoder, and the chip diagram shows a 10-Bit DVD & HDTV Decoder and such.

So what does this mean? Will I just need to get an HDTV Tuner and pipe it into the card or what.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    I want my DVD™!

I think it is just a very good TV Out..which can scale your resolution up/down
....eg dvd 720 to 1020 for HDTV
and say 2048x1600 desktop down 800x600 for a normal TV

I would like it to be a Video in, but I think that is just wishful thinking

I think the HDTV support is for the next gen DVD format that will have HDTV encoded video on them.
I should have bought an ATI.
