          That's not true at all. 300MHz is more than possible on 150nm
          Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

              I am of course asuming we are talking about a full dx9 compliant chip.

              I just renembered: i don“t know what the h*ll im talking about, as i am not an EE, so the above statement is only a guess.

                So am I. There's no reason they couldn't pull it off, except for lack of skill on their part.

                  more transistors than parhelia? and matrox seems to release parhelia with 220mhz.
                  thats why i doubt those specs, of course they could do something weird, like splitting it up in 2 lesser chips with half the transitor count or something.
                  but at a first glance those specs looks way off.

                    Maybe if they connect both chips with a 256 Bit bus or use a 3th chip (a memory controller) to connect both chips with the memory
                    all connections 256 bit or more

                    but that would proberly impossible too because the you need more layers on your board , and the maximum possible at the moment is 7 layers
