    Pitou?

    Two mainstream cards are out, which is better for OEM deals - adequate performance, reasonable price, although proabably still not best for gaming.

    So those who are more in the know, care to speculate on release of the Pitou or future better performing Matrox card?

      "Pitou" as project is dead. even most of the team that was working on it had to leave.


      I wouldn't count much on Matrox's R&D, if the things I have heard about their funding is right.

      but I'd love to be wrong.

                  well i know nothing but if their r&d is gone then they are hemeraging their last few cards here before they wind down because you cant pimp parhelia technology for the next 20 years and r&d must be an ongoing process to stay abreast of the game.
                  is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?

                              umm....
                              I might be wrong here... haven't been very active lately with my 'Ninja cover operations' (Thanks for that Ant. )

                              but Matrox still has R&D, but it is like a shadow what it used to be. about a year ago, Matrox had pretty plenty of brainpower, but sometimes things just don't go like planned and most of it was "thrown away." (my commiserations to ppl that losed their jobs.)



                              anyways, let's wait for those lowered Parhelias to get out before starting waiting something new.

                                  Well... DX10 will not be out for a long time from now (probably a few years). Let's hope Matrox can catch up.

                                  However, with their RnD (or the lack thereof), I doubt they can do anything.

                                  hmm... ATI buys MGA would be great
