        Do you really expect Matrox to produce a competitive hobbyist 3D card any time soon? They need to build up their engineering before they can even think about designing such a card.

            He said "maybe" it will do 30fps,but he was referring to "summer" not the P8X

                Maybe they're going to wholesale the buggy p's to resellers and oems for cheap, thus getting rid of the bugs. Which will allow matrox to continue selling the parhelia (p8x) at 400USD!

                    The defect P's are probably sold out by now. It was a "good" move on their part to use a fixed version (if it's what they've done) for their MED line and sell the buggy chips to consumers.
                    Given the mega blunder, at least it helped them recoup some of the design cost.

                    I guess the P8X will run just as fast as the MED cards - I don't see why they would go out of their way to improve the P yet another time...
