I hate Montreal so much. They are the most boring team to watch, and they eliminated 2 of the most exciting teams in hockey (well, are about to). Thank god Chicago is still in it.

To me, Crosby & Malkin are more of a threat than the Washington's snipers since these 2 really know how to work the boards & set up plays. I just couldn't believe all the give aways today by the Pens and that poor effort by Gonchar letting Moen go by him. Just brutal.

Yeah that play by Gonchar was embarrassing. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Crosby was playing hurt.

Bad day - find out we're not getting the jets, and my favorite team in the East loses

            Go Chicago!

Didn't get to watch either game today, but am pleased by the results

Chicago-Philly is what I am hoping for now. Been a fan of Mike Richards since his Junior days, and I hate to admit that I am also a fan of Pronger. He has a strong playoff history (Edmonton cup run, Anaheim cup runs & win).

              Still, Go Chicago!

I was in Chicago last summer, I was pleased to see there are some American cities that really care about their hockey.

The Blackhawks were my first favorite team, back when they had Belfour/Roenick/Chelios.

Awesome to see Winnipeg-born-and-raised Toews leading the playoffs in scoring!

And I didn't know about it?

                      I know I don't visit too often...

Anyway, we also have a second hockey team here, the Chicago Wolves, but i'm sure you knew about this.

And yes, you can spot someone wearing Blackhawks gear almost as much as those wearing White Sox/Cubs gear.

I was only there for 2 sleeps, tagging along with my cousin who was there on business (researching hotels for his travel agency). First night we stayed at the Park Hyatt, second night at the Trump.

We didn't have much time to do anything since we were walking from hotel to hotel each day (got tours of a whole bunch of em). We did manage to squeeze in time for some deep dish pizza, check out the aquarium, Navy Pier, and caught a glimpse of Oprah as she did her season opening concert on streets downtown (and could see the stage from our room at the Trump).

I'm well aware of the wolves, I think they beat the Manitoba Moose in playoffs a few years back.

                          A few years back???

Or a decade, during the 1998-99 IHL playoffs (I had to look this one up...)

Sweet, Chicago goes up 3-0, and the Brandon Wheat Kings beat Calgary in the Memorial Cup semi-final. So now they will play Windsor in the final.

The set-up for the winning shot won the game, the shot itself was just a formality.
