OMG, just when I thought I had heard it all I get a call from a client complaining that when his PC is turned off, but plugged in, that Microsoft comes in to hack his copmputer so that he can no longer access the internet and claims that I am incompetant because I am not aware of this. And he also wants his IP address, but his PC is turned off and it's the only device connected to his cable modem.

Oh no! He's called before and if I look at the logs one tech worte that the clients claims that MS stole his IP from him and he can no longer surf the net. He's a real crackpot!

Laptop died yesterday morning, dammit. Thought it was the new RAm but swapped it for the old and it still doesn't boot anymore. Hopefully the new RAM is still good and hopefully they will continue to honour my warranty.
