Wrong again. Read up first. The Daisy cutter has a lethal radius of 300-900 ft. This thing has 40% more explosive, So let's say 12% more radius (intensity should drop off at a squared rate, yes?). Fine, 350-1000 feet. Also, I'd hardly consider a metropolitan area ideal conditions for this sort of weapon. In conclusion, it would only take out a couple of city blocks, <I>maybe</I>. Definitely not "mass destruction." See my earlier comment on carpet bombing.

I know Mt. St. Helens was small in comparison to other natural catastrophes, that was not the point. But then again at the rate the human race is going we probably won't be around when that happens again anyway.

My oh my this is getting depressing. Perhaps something like yellowstone park going bang will give Humantiy a good starting point.

the point is its a weapon capable of destroying on a magnitued higher than that of a grnade and or regular artilary..........

I didn't say I DID know. There is a probability that it will happen within the next few thousand years though, and it's 40,000 years overdue anyhow, so none of us knows, it could go boom tomorrow.

Probabilities are useless. Scientists really don't know anymore than the average Joe on when it could erupt. I still say it won't happen in my lifetime....wish I could bet money on that (but I'd be dead either way if I won or lost, heh).
