Meigs Field attacked by terrorists (of a kind)

Really nice of the wonderful mayor of Chicago... he decided to bulldoze the runway of Meigs Field yesterday just past midnight. When the airport FBO asked about what they were supposed to do with the aircraft that were stranded there, the very intelligent answer was "That's your problem."

I guess he's not interested in getting elected again. I can't understand how he could pull something like this and expect to get away with it. He could've easily closed it without stranding all those privately owned airplanes. What a dill hole.

They actually got special permission from the FAA to use the taxiway to take off so they could go to a usable runway.
