why is american beer like making love in a canoe?
because it's f***ing close to water.

really, why is all your beer only 3.2%, which is lighter than our 'light' beer???
Yeah, well I'm gonna build my own lunar space lander! With blackjack aaaaannd Hookers! Actually, forget the space lander, and the blackjack. Ahhhh forget the whole thing!

Because you don't know what you're talking about. Even many mainstream beers are over 3.2, or even have a 3.2 and a non-3.2 version. In many states, 3.2 beer can be sold in supermarkets, that's why it exists.

Most of the beers I drink are well over that. My favorite local pub has many drinks at 6%, 7%, and a couple up at 10%. Also, Americans are responsible for one of the strongest beers in the world: Sam Adams Triple Bock weighs in at 17.5%

Here's a rather eclectic list, as well. http://www.duke.edu/~amwhite/alc_in_bev.html

Hey, there's no Carlsberg on the list. Maybe someone from Denmark can correct me on this, but when I lived there Carlsberg made a limited production run of a beer called "Danish Dynamite." It was in the neighborhood of 37% alcohol. They also make an Elephant beer that's about 8%, but has been as high as 12% in the past.

The only american beer I've had came from supermarkets!

All our mainstream stuff is 5.0 with lite beer at 4.0. Our beer is mainly available from brewers retail outlets where the strongest weighs in at about 7.5. Anything stronger is only available at the liqour store or at pubs/bars.
I had a look at the list you linked to - it is severly lacking in the canadian varieties - there are well over 100 available at the beer store - all canadian.
