What do you think about Eminem?

Just interested how people on this forum think about him, especially now that 8 mile was released and the press actually wrote some positive things about him

but i must say he does have a talent. i think he can lyrically rap. very well.

He's an excellent rapper, but his choice of almost always being a smuck or using hate as a subject matter in his lyrics bring him down. He is so popular because of society's general attitude that hate is bad and thus should be hidden. People need a release. People need to express and feel it openly and constructively and not crush it 'til in festers into what Eminem is.

He've been at the top of the European charts and that's strange for a "rap" singer.
I kind of like his music, nor the lyrics though.

btw "8 mile" really sucks, it's only worth watching to see Kim Basinger, she is the only with real acting talent in that movie.

What's funny about "8 mile" is that they have like 20 copies in the video stores yet there's usually only one copy gone, hehe. That says a lot about that movie. I haven't seen it myself and I really have no interest either.

Havent seen 8 Mile either, guess I will someday, but my expectations arent that high, since I dont see myself as being among the target group

But I do think that you have to be tougher than most to do and go though what he did and went through, and considering that, its no surprise to me that his lyrics may seem a bit aggressive
