    Agreed.

Considering the thread starters user name I have to mention a great action movie:
    "The Rock"

As for Disneys films, I generally don't like them. In this genre, "Ice Age" easily beats all those Disney or Dreamworks productions.

      Bleh. Ice Age was... mediocre.

As for Apoxonyourfirstborn'slips Now... it WAS a great movie. Just... after watching it you're so drained it's like 3 years before you can watch it again.

      Kinda like BlackHawk Down.

And yeah I liked Equilibrium. Dunno why. I got into it.

BlackHawk Down.. was boring. And I really saw no "message" - was it supposed to have one?

        Full Metal Jacket was good.

Have to agree on some of these films being v. good, but so draining that it'll be a while before you watch them again... especially for the "Redux" version of Anachronous Later

Didn't read everything, so sorry if some of these were already mentioned:

              - The Big Lebowske
              - The Man who wasn't there
              - Gladiator
              - Galaxy Quest
              - Lord of the Rings (all of them)
              - Matrix (Reloaded is okay, first one is awesome)
              - Star Wars episode 4-6
              - 20,000 Leagues under the sea (1954 Walt Disney)
              - High Noon (not Shanghai noon, though that ones funny )
              - Lupin III and the castle of Cagliostri (spelling )
              - Fight Club
              - The Frighteners
              - Bandits
              - Conspiracy Theory
              - Lammbock (German movie, awesome )
              - Indiana Jones Trilogy
              - Robin Hood (Walt Disney )
              - U-Turn (Its evil, but very very good)

There are some more, but many movies are just nice to watch, and not really good

                      Movies!!!

The Recruit : Pretty good. Good to see Al Pacino and Colin Farrel in one place.

Equillibrium : Nothing to see except some of the gun karate. Makes you feel like "Is that it?".

Frequency : One of my favorites. It's prettty good.

Die another day : One of the worst. They should never make another 007movie. 007 at its worst.

Final Destination2 : Hope the movie's at its final destination. They shouldn't have made the sequel.

The planet of the apes : Kinda makes you want to kill one of those apes who torture humans. Pretty interesting.

Cast Away : Is that you, Tom? What were you thinking?. Can't quite put my finger on, but the movie lacks in something. Expected too much of it.

Solaris : Hate this movie. One of the worst. No plot to follow. You just gaze at the stupidity of George Cloony and suddenly realize you got a garbage to take out.

Phone Booth : Good movie without thinking too hard. Just relax and let Colin Farrrel take you to the way out. But don't look at him in the face, 'cause you might think you got the wrong person.

We were soldiers : Not too bad war movie.

Catch me if you can : It's all right... Don't expect too high of it though.

Signs : Mel Gibson looks like an idiot in this movie. So stupid movie. I hated it. Get real guys, there's no alien who goes 'round in the corn field naked.

Don't say a word : Like the title of the movie, you won't say a word about this flick, 'cause hey, what's there to say of this when the movie doesn't leave you with any kind of impression?

                      That's about it folks.

To add some good movies to the growing list of good (and not so good) movies:

13th Warrior. (You dig like a dog!)
                        Alien
                        Big Trouble in Little China
                        The Thing (John Carptenters version)
                        Ghostbusters
                        Jaws
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Commando (WTF?!? He's using a autoaim hack, the cheating bastard!)
                        Predator
                        Tango & Cash

                          More I forgot:

Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai - I really liked it. Unique for sure

Dead Man - liked this one too, but not sure if it holds up to repeat viewings

Equilibrium - I hated it. BAD acting, dumb story. Taye Diggs, supposedly has no feelings yet never stops smiling. Phuckin fool.

The Fisher King - one of my all-time faves. If you didn't enjoy this, you have no taste.

Spy Game - very underrated movie; I personally thought it was excellent. Redford rocked, for the first time ever.

Brotherhood of the Wolf - a little bit of everything; part horror/monster movie, part kick-ass action flick, part period piece, and all loosely based on a true legend. Highly recommended!

Dog Soldiers - haven't seen a good werewolf movie in a while, but this was pretty good. Not great, but good.

Monsters Ball - Berry deserved the Oscar; believe it. Loved this one, but I'm a sucker for depressing love stories.

Dead Alive - pure horror-silliness (even sillier than Evil Dead 2) from LOTR/TTTs Peter Jackson. Gotta love bloody schlock horror-comedy.

Ravenous - FANTASTIC fun movie! You won't see many like this one. Creepy at times, silly at times, nauseating at times, and fantastic acting from about EVERY character. A must-see!

The Dead Zone - Christopher Walken; nuff said.

Jacobs Ladder - another all-time favorite. FANTASTIC!!

The Hitcher - Rutger Hauer OWNS the whole movie. Not much real plot, but WHAT a performance. Largely panned/blasted by critics, so you know its worth watching.

Apocalypse Now : best war movie ever
