While I can't say I love it, I think its refreshing and definitly nicer than the Mercedes "you can only tell the difference by the number of doors and the shape of the headlights" approach to car design

And I dont like the new Audi look, either, except for the A8.

Topha, the point is: most (>75%) of the people I know HATE the new design, only 10% like it.
And this ratio seems the same here in this forum or in any other that I know of. And this is definitely NOT GOOD for BMW.

It doesn't matter if people that would never buy a BMW anyways like Bangles designs. Fact is that existing BMW customers (the Rock, Gurm, Me,..) won't buy a BMW with this design.
How many 7 series do you see on the streets in germany? Even less than Audi A8 (and this was a major flop sales-wise for Audi)!!
How many Mercedes S-series do you see? Much more.

Its true that the 7er is pretty rare here, but the Z4 I see quite often. And in the US the 7 sells better than the S class. As I said, Im not sure yet wether I like the new 5 or not, but the new 7 doesnt look worse than its predecessor, just totally different.

I will think hard before buying a current 5-series, although I still want an M5...

If they change the 3-series, I'll be abandoning BMW altogether. So will EVERYONE I KNOW.
