Hi Liz, glad you came out alright medically. I still have a scar on my leg where one got me when I was a teenager. Nothing funny about it. Even the thought of a black widow gives me the creeps.
Check with someone competent before going the legal route against the hotel. Legal bills can climb as fast or faster than medical bills. Good you kept all your fingers and toes! Take it slow and easy.How can you possibly take anything seriously?

I'd definately look into getting the hotel to pay for the medical expenses and any legal expenses. First thing I'd do is contact and write the hotel manager and the regional manager of the hotel chain (assuming it is a chain) and explain what happened, and say that you expect the hotel to cover your medical expense. If you hint that you'll go public with the story, odds are they'll just pay since 60k isn't that much to a hotel, especially if its a chain, while the publicity of a story like that would be devasting to them (people aren't going to stay in a hotel with bugs, especially highly poisonous ones).Comment

First thing you should do, is call a good lawyer and ask some basic things.
Otherwise, I'm sure there are manny in USA (half of World's lawyers are in USA) that will be willing to take up the case for percentage of claims.Comment
