Looks like it was someones escaped pet.
The "Big Red's" in the bush can be a lot nastier.

They don't really set out to attack people but if you walk up to one you would have to pretty silly...

The way a kangaroo fights is to rock back on his tail and kick both legs out and try and rip in to your stomach, roo's have a lot of protective tissue in their stomach people and dogs don't...A lot of dogs get killed that way, pit bulls and pig dog's included.

Luckily you only find the Big Red's in remote areas and they are reasonable shy..

They are quite impressive creatures, especially when you see one bounding flat out with their total disregard for fences....

Every Dog I have owned has always thought they could catch one, luckily none have even come close
